Jiangsu Province has launched China's first green power direct connection pilot projects, as announced by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission. Five initial projects, including Changzhou Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., will establish dedicated green power lines linking battery manufacturers with green power sources.

This initiative is part of Jiangsu’s broader effort to enhance green power utilization through its "Three Entering" program(Green Power Integration in Jiangsu, Green Power for Industrial Parks, Green Power for Businesses). The province is collaborating with the State Grid Corporation of China to develop technical standards, clarify transaction conditions, and ensure the orderly, sustainable growth of the projects. Local development and reform departments are also creating tailored solutions for battery companies impacted by the EU’s new battery regulations.

The green power direct connection initiative has already attracted investment from major companies like CATL, which plans new battery projects in Yancheng, fueling local economic growth. Going forward, the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission will continue to support these pilot projects and further enhance green power services for key industries, particularly battery manufacturing.
